A new Intranet Portal for 600 stores worldwide

For the Italian world-leading fashion company, Tinext realized a new Retail Intranet Portal, accessible to all its 600 worldwide shops. The new portal is aimed at improving the communication with all the company’s global store and to support personnel traininig. The Intranet is now the point of reference for every store manager, allowing the access to live reports, manuals, brochures, training material, advertisments, promotional information, and Group news and events.

From analysis to implementation

Tinext conceived the overall UX and information architecture in multiple workshops with the Client at its headquarters in Milan. Requirements were also elicited during these workshops and formalized through UML framework with extensive use of scenarios and wireframing.

Integrations made simple with Magnolia CMS

The development included the implementation of a responsive front-end with two breakpoints (desktop and tablet) and the introduction of Magnolia 5.2 CE as Content Management System.
The intranet portal was integrated with the company’s Active Directory to allow a seamless login to every employee trough a Single Sign On (SSO).

Live reports of store performances

After entering the system, store managers can visualize performance data of the store, along with sales and revene targets coming directly from the company’s backend systems. Print advertising campaigns currently running in the geographic area of the store are also accessible from the intranet. The editorial core of the intranet is the Store Operating Manual - available in 17 languages and 13 countries - showcasing all the procedures to run a store.

Minimum effort, maximum results

The project has been conceived, designed, implemented and rolled out in only 3 months from kick-off to delivery, thanks to the flexibility and ease of use of Magnolia CMS and to the skilled Tinext team involved in the project, composed by 1 Information Architect, 2 Designers, 1 PM, and 3 developers.
