Hydroaid needed an articulated portal containing all information about courses, projects and initiatives of the association.

Customer

Hydroaid is an officially recognized non-profit association supported by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Cooperation and Development. It was created with the purpose of transferring knowledge about sustainable technologies and methods in water resource management to emerging and developing countries.

Requirements

Hydroaid needed an articulated portal containing all information about courses, projects and initiatives of the association. Furthermore, this portal needed to be constantly updated with news and events.
The customer aimed at having the web presence typical of an association, but with a modern, effective and appealing tone.

Solution

Tinext has designed and created the portal by using an accurate design and images with a significant emotional impact.
The section dedicated to information about Hydroaid contain the association mission, photos and curricula of management, scientific committee and technical staff and an area for file exchange.
The portal main part is dedicated to training and has been designed in such a way as to allow:

  • Online enrollment form procedure
  • Course document's sharing with other students belonging to your same course
  • Creating a reserved area for information exchange among students of past courses

The organization of the News & Events section has satisfied Hydroaid’s need of highlighting scheduled events of different types by using the Hydroaid logo with different colors.

Strengths

Thanks to the X-CMS content management system, Hydroaid can manage a lot of information concerning its portal:

  • Control over all registered users
  • Autonomous editing of news and events
  • Management of five document exchange areas
  • Autonomous adding of press releases and opportunities for former students
  • Visibility of the whole list of application forms filled-in online: these can be viewed, modified or removed. For each single filled-in form, Hydroaid can create a pdf file very quickly to summarize all user information and can decide whether or not the user can be authorized to enter the reserved areas.
