Need
To renew the web portal of Alta Valtellina tourism as a result of the close cooperation between Comunità Montana Alta Valtellina and the Tavolo per lo Sviluppo Turistico, which ghaters all tourist operators in the area.
Solution
The two main goals of the project are the following:
- to renew the portal layout in order to upgrade it to all current best practices, regarding content usability as well as the user experience
- to widen the range of information services accessible through the portal, with a new service called Alta Valtellina Outdooor. This service, through the integration with the cartographic engine, enables hikers to organize their tours in the area of Alta Valtellina, choosing between several different excursions (classic and personalized)
Strengths
The portal allows users to approach to the alta Valtellina area through different tourist information services. These services help to organize all details of one’s own visit in the region; you can get information about events, wine and food routes, archaeological settlements, palces and moments dedicated to entertainment and shopping.
The new Alta Valtellina Outdoor represents furthermore an innovative service that allows to not-experienced hikers to come up to this region in a very special and novel way.
