Domestic appliances: one product information structure for all European brands

Differentiation in the offers is good for competition, but to help the market in comparing the different products, some level of standardisation in product information is required.

This is true also in the domestic appliance manufacturers’ market, where the need of standardisation in products information for CECED (Conseil Europèen de la Construction d’appareils Domestiques that represents the industry in Europe) means “one structure for all brands”.

This is the goal for which a web-based solution (see www.picertified.com) has recently been developed by Tinext that aims at supporting CECED in the project of building up and maintain a new standard for the product information delivered by European household appliance manufactures to retailers.
